Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska, Thursday, September 24, 1964, Sect 3, Page 3, Col 1 Monday Services for Mrs. Emma Mottl Services were held here Monday afternoon for Mrs. Emma Mottl, 79, who died Friday, after a two year illness. Rev. Richard Atherton officiated at the Methodist church and arrangements were made by the Hastings Pearson Mortuary. Burial was in the Ord Bohemian Cemetery. Mrs. Mottl was born near Ord on March 26, 1885, the daughter of Louis and Frances Otahal Dohnal Sr. She married Charles Mottl Sr., here on June 6, 1906, and their home was on a Garfield County farm east of Burwell until 1958. The past year and a half Mrs. Mottl lived with her daughter, Mrs. Marie Larsen, because of her health. Survivors are one son, Charles Jr., and one daughter, Mrs. Larsen, both of Ord; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Mohr of Burwell and Mrs. Lou Kokes of Glensoe, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Louis Dohnal Jr., and one sister, Mrs. Mary Hlavinka.
