Statesman Journal, Salem, OR, Friday, 23 Feb 1973 McMINNVILLE - Leta R. Remington Cook, 80, Lake Oswego, formerly of the Whiteson community south of here, died Thursday at a Portland hospital after a short illness. She was born in Silverton, lived in Whiteson as a girl and returned to the area briefly after spending some time in California. Since then she had lived in various cities in Oregon and Washington. Surviving are widower Gilford; son Hugh Garlick, Montesano, Wash.; brother Melvin Remington, Los Angeles, Calif.; two grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Macy & Son mortuary, interment in Evergreen Memorial Park.
