Funeral services for Marjorie Dale "Nonnie" Kisselburg, 79, of Brownwood, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Elizabeth Billingsly officiating. Interment will follow in Weeden Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home. Mrs. Kisselburg passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2006, at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. Marjorie was born on June 26, 1926, in Fisher County, the daughter of Clinton Franklin Thornton and Tommy Irene "Buck" Henry Thornton. She had worked for the Ector ISD for a number of years before moving back to Fisher County to run the family abstract business. Marjorie later retired as owner/operator of Fisher County Abstract. She was a Baptist and had lived in Brownwood for the last 11 years, moving here from Palestine. She is survived by her two daughters, Lu Jane Walker of Andrews and Jan Clark of Lake Brownwood; seven grandchildren, William Charles Walker Jr of Snyder, Ellen Hopkins of Baytown, Ben Singletary of Andrews, Amy Subia of Andrews, Zachary Clark of Palestine, Travis Clark of Brownwood and Pete Clark of Fort Benning, Ga. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Margie Clark and Blaze Douglas, both of Lake Brownwood. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Jack Dennis Thornton and Jim Thornton. Obituary from the Brownwood Bulletin.
