Daughter of Fredric Oscar and Anna Caroline (Woods) White. --------------- Velma Peters Affectionately known as Granny Services for Velma Peters, 93, of Longview will be held Wednesday, May 7, 1997 at the Lakeview Mausoleum Chapel with Mr. Mike Hurley officiating. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Mausoleum. Mrs. Peters was born March 15, 1905 in Birmingham, Ala., and passed away on Sunday, May, 4, 1997 at a local nursing home. When she was 4 years old, her family moved to Dayton, Texas. Then she met her husband, Arthur Peters, in 1928 and they moved to Corpus Christi. After the death of her husband, she moved to Junction, Texas, where she remained for several years. She was a member of the Longview Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Madeline and Bill Morgan of Longview; two granddaughters and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1949 and by one son, Leon Peters in 1984. Visitation will be held at the funeral home today. Longview News-Journal, Texas, dated May 6, 1997
