father: Henry Penewell Sophia Penewell is a sister residence: 1899 Geneva, Wisconsin OBIT- page 3, Saturday, 28 January 1899 OCONOMOWOC FREE PRESS, Oconomowoc, Wisconsin Mrs Elizabeth Jacobs, formerly of the Town of Concord, died at her son's residence, three miles out of Lake Geneva, on Sunday, 22 January, and the remains arrived here Tuesday evening and were buried in the Concord cemetery beside those of her husband, Wednesday forenoon, the Rev. George Vater officiating. Deceased was born in Ohio and was 73 year old as the time of her death She became a settler in the Town of Concord in the day's when that section was a wilderness, when the native redskin was a frequent and not always unwelcome visitor. Eight years ago, and ten years after the death of her husband, she went to live with her son, Harrison Jacobs, near Lake Geneva. She had been to ill health for many years and consequently not unacquainted with suffering. Two daughters survive her, Mrs. Owen Johnson, of Lake Geneva, and Miss Sarah Jacobs, who made her home with her mother, and one son; Harrison Jacobs, Mrs. Hannah Dresden of this city is a sister of the deceased and a brother (Henry) lives at Kendall, this state. Mrs Charles Crout of South Street is a niece.
