Review of Texas Birth Index Dick Wallace Thurmond born August 12, 1937 in Baylor County, Texas to william Henry Thurmond and Aillene Higgins. Dick Thurmond, 75, died Monday, May 13, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Seymour, with Dr. David Warren, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home. Mr. Thurmond owned and operated Seymour Parts, retiring in 2002. Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Elizabeth(Motl) Thurmond of Seymour; a daughter, Laurie Michelle Vickers of Burkburnett; a son, Danny Blackard of Seymour; two sisters, Joyce Green of Seymour and Shirley Stevens of Canyon, Texas; and five grandchildren.
