Bio

Frantiska Sweda (Sveda) (Schweda) came to the US with her parents in 1873 from Moravia....her ORIGINAL passport(which in 2014 was in the possession of her grandson, Gabriel Matcek) was issued by the Austro-Hungarian Empire under the name of Emperor Franz Joseph. Her parents were Josef and Anna Sveda and are buried in the Frenstat Catholic cemetery (with very unusual grave markers....metal towers!) Their daughters Anna and Frantiska came with them to America. Joseph (Josef) Matcek married Frantiska (Francis) in 1874.
