William Waymar Sexton, Jr. was born July 12, 1938, and departed this life Saturday, November 8, 2025, reaching the age of 87ears. He was the son of the late William "Waymar" Sexton, Sr. and Tilda (Sweet) Sexton. He married Dorothy Ann Hancock on April 4, 1960; and to this union three children were born. He is survived by: two children, Vicki Burnett and Allen Sexton; one brother, Clarence Ray Sexton; two granddaughters, Caitlyn Mounce and Terra Burnett; and three grandchildren, Chloe, Carson, and Tyler Albertson; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing. In addition to his parent, Waymar and Tilda, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Dorothy Sexton; and one infant daughter, Kathy Ann Sexton. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery. Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
