Veteran of World War II. Served in the United States Army Air Corps . Survived by wife, Nancy (1919-2000). Information extracted from obituary in San Angelo Standard Times, October 10, 1998. John enlisted in the United States Army, Ordnance, February 13, 1942 He was honorably discharged September 10, 1945. During this time period, he served in Egypt, Italy, Calcutta and other cities of India, China and North Africa. He participated in the Battles of Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Egypt, Libya, Sicily and Tunisis.
