Bio

Laverne Evelyn (Janek) Mikeska was born on August 24, 1933 in Penelope, Texas to Frank J. and Wilma A. (Skarpa) Janek. She was a lifelong resident of West where she met and married Walter Vaiden Mikeska who passed away on November 24, 1975. They farmed in the West area until his death. She then moved to into the City of West and worked in the Dietary Department at West Hospital for over 20 years. She loved her yard, flowers and gardening. She was a life member of the West Brethren Church and SPJST Lodge #6 Cottonwood.
