Bio

Graveside services for Leon E Gilbreath, 83 of Yantis are scheduled for 3 PM Sunday at Rock Hill Cemetery with Revs. Fred Morrow, Cody Mize and Lee Gilbreath officiating. No formal visitation is scheduled. Leon was born September 9, 1929 in Wood County to Wiley and Julie P. Howel Gilbreath. He passed away April 19, 2013 in Quitman. Leon lived in Wood County all of his life, was a Baptist and a retired farmer and cattleman. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean conflict and attended the Gamblin School in Yantis. He was preceded in death by his parents and all of his brothers and sisters. Leon is survived by a son, Donald Wayne Gilbreath, Yantis and several nieces and nephews.
