Mattie Adeline Dykes Hughes was born 25 Dec 1909 in Winnsboro, Wood, Texas to Richard Wilson Dykes and Mary Jane Weems Dykes. On 25 April 1931, she married John Robert Hughes. Mattie passed away on 9 September 1988 in Tatum, Rusk, Texas. Her survivors include sisters; Lottie Thomas, Floy Crump, and Melba Hester. Brother; Weems S. Dykes. Daughters; Sylvia Ann Bryant and Alice Faye Malone. And son; James Patrick Hughes. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; John Robert Hughes. Sister; Donnie Moseley. Brothers; Boncil Dykes and Elton Dykes. And son; Billy Rex Hughes.
