Leslie Courtland Searle 1897 - 1980 Early Life: He was born November 20, 1897 in Lake Shore, Utah, a son of Joseph Saxton and Eliza Ann Clayson Searle. Life’s Work | Service | Interests: On September 10, 1919, he married Ruby Parker in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an American Fork City councilman for 10 years, and for 35 years, he was the watermaster. As a member of the American Fork Third Ward, he served in the bishopric and elders quorum presidency. He was a retired farmer and livestockman. Leslie Courtland Searle died Friday, November 28, 1980, at American Fork Hospital. He was 83. Survived By: His wife; two sons and two daughters: Max P. Searle, Lee Kent Searle and Myrna (Brent) Milne, all of American Fork, Utah; Clea (Richard) Cook, Bloomingfield Hills, Michigan; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Leo A. Searle, Shelley, Idaho; Jesse Searle, Burley, Idaho; and Kenneth Searle, Brigham City, Utah.
