Graveside services for Rosie Lee Yates, 92, of Slaton will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Englewood Cemetery with the Rev. Marvin James of the Calvary Full Gospel Church officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton. She died Sunday, May 7, 2000, in Covenant Medical Center-Lakeside. She was born Nov. 11, 1907 in Fremont. She married Sam Talbert Yates in 1922. He died in 1983. She had previously lived in Cameron, Rosebud and El Paso. She moved to Slaton from Waco in 1947. She had been a resident of the Slaton Care Center since 1992. Survivors include four daughters, Ann Laube, Myrtle Grizzell and Mary Alice Martin, all of Lubbock, and Katherine Prue of Austin; a sister, Cindy Hollingsworth of Calvert; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
