Arminta C. Pass was born 1858, in Blount County, Tennessee, the daughter of Sarah Hicks Perkins Pass (1822-1898; FindAGrave Memorial: 27403914) and Sarah's second husband Samuel T. Pass (no death or burial information found.) In the 1860 U.S. Census, in Unitia, Blount, TN, Arminta C. Pass was 2 years old, with her widowed (again) mother Sarah Pass, and siblings Susan J. Pass 7, Daniel W. Perkins 17, Levi M. Perkins 15, and Jonathan Riley Perkins 13. In 1870, Arminta, age 12, lived in Friendsville, Blount, TN, with her mother Sarah Pass 48 (Can't Write with personal property valued at $700) and her married sister Susan Thompson 16 and husband James Thompson 18. On 2 May 1878, in Blount County, Arminta C. Pass married a widower, Jeremiah W. "Jerry" McCaslin (1846-1910; FindAGrave Memorial; 65834930) Arminta and Jerry McCaslin had 6 children: Ida Belle McCaslin Kyle (1880–1954; FindAGrave: 35598638) Levi Homer McCaslin (born 7 Jan 1882, TN; died 17 Jan 1968, Hockley County, TX; no burial record found) John Harland McCaslin (1884-1970; FindAGrave: 60380688; Same cemetery as father and stepsister Nancy Annie McCaslin Ritchey) Lilly Alice McCaslin Plant (1886-1957; FindAGrave: 21712888) Madie Ellen McCaslin Garland (born 13 Jan 1888 Blount County; died 17 Jun 1932, Dallas, TX; no burial record found) Talitha Adeline "Addie" McCaslin Francis (1892-1930; FindAGrave: 17490727) Arminta C.
