Kenneth Henry Hoelscher, 77, of San Angelo, was called to his eternal home in Heaven on April 7, 2013. He was a beloved husband, father, Papa and friend. Kenneth was born on July 19, 1935 in Olfen, Texas, to JJ and Elsie Hoelscher. He also grew up, attended school and married the love of his life, Delores Michalewicz, in Olfen. The couple was married on April 23, 1960 and spent 53 wonderful and eventful years together. During that time, they raised two children, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a long time employee of Templeton Construction for 43 years, where he remained committed even through his cancer treatments. As a superintendent, he ran many important jobs throughout the Concho Valley and made many friends. One of his most recent projects included the San Angelo Stadium Field House. His strong work ethic kept him dedicated to the job until he was physically unable to be there, but he still missed it dearly. Kenneth enjoyed making bullets, fishing and visiting in the backyard. He was best known by family and friends for being a passionate outdoorsman, spending every chance he got at the deer pasture in Fort McKavett, Texas. He had a special bond with his "pet" deer, which would gather around him and a bucket of corn at his feeder. He spent many weekends cruising the pasture and listening to his favorite music. Ken loved this home away from home, and loved sharing it with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, JJ and Elsie Hoelscher; brothers Dutch Hoelscher and Gerald Hoelscher; sister Anita Brosig; mother and father in-law Andrew and Louise Michalewicz; and his in-laws Bernie Michalewicz, Donnie and Loretta Michalewicz, Warren Michalewicz, Walter Jacob Herbert Jacob and Olen Weishuhn. "Go rest high on that mountain, son your work on earth is done, go to heaven a shoutin', love for the father and the son." The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of San Angelo and to the four angels of "Team H", Pattye Furr, Renee Herndon, Jeanne Miller and JoAnne Poyner, for their endless support. .Published in GoSanAngelo from April 9 to April 11, 2013
