(from the front page of the December 25, 1952 issue of the Haskell County Tribune, Stigler, OK) Services To Be Held Fri. For Geo. Vancil George H. Vancil of Route 2, died suddenly at his home December 22nd at the age of 76. Vancil was born in Phelps, Mo. in April of 1876. He was a pioneer school teacher in Haskell and LeFlore Counties. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Stigler Church of Christ. The Mallory Funeral Home will have charge of the burial which will be made in the Milton Cemetery.
