Bio
Ione Marie Schrader, age 67 of Sutherland, passed away April 4, 2013. Ione was born on April 27, 1945 in Tilden, NE to John and Beatrice (Hietoff) Richart. She graduated from Neligh High School in 1963. She raised her family in Sutherland. In 1978 Ione went to work for NPPD. She officially retired from there in 2011. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sutherland. She enjoyed baking, canning, gardening and quilting. She also enjoyed riding motorcycles, going fishing and spending time with her family. Ione is survived by her children Kelly (Dick) Lutz of Sutherland, Greg Schrader of Wyoming and Norman Schrader of Ogallala; sisters Shirley (Dennis) Bartleson, Germaine (Dewayne) Voborny; brother Leroy Richart; grandchildren Mary Lutz, Julie and Travis Schrader, Brandon, Josh, DJ and Lindsay Schrader; several nieces, nephews, and other family members; and her beloved dog Pookie. Ione was preceeded in death by her parents. Memorials are suggested to the Callahan Cancer Center and online condolences may be made at www.adamsswanson.com. Christian wake services will be held Friday April 12, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sutherland. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday April 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart with the Reverend James Novakowski officiating. Adams and Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Inurnment will follow at Riverview Cemetery near Sutherland. The family requests those attending to wear casual attire.
