Bio
Donald Lee York, 68, passed away in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday, March 30, 2013. Visitation will be on Friday, April 5, 2013, from 10 a.m. until service time in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of his life will take place at 11 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2013, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel in Ennis. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery. Donald was born in Ennis, Texas, to the late Manuel and Mildred (Laza) York. He grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1963. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He worked for General Dynamics and Laza & Co., Inc. as a general manager and for Leggett and Platt Inc. for over 30 years as a plant manager. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and past president of the Ennis Sokol. He enjoyed his dogs, muscle cars, hunting, fishing, and Harley-Davidsons. He is survived by aunts, Hattie Laza Knowlton, of Irving, and Clara (Mrs. Ed) Laza, of Richardson; along with numerous loving cousins and friends.
