son of Thomas Kelley Brazell and Cordelia Caroline Epley Lubbock Avalanche-Journal Sunday, February 6, 1966 John Brazell's Rites Are Set Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday for John E. Brazell, 72, 914 41st St., who died at his home early Saturday morning. Brazell was a retired barber and a native of Mills County, Tex. He moved to Sacramento, Calif., about 20 years ago, and returned to Lubbock in July, 1965. Services will be in the Henderson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jarrell Thorpe, pastor of Overton Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery, Slaton, directed by Henderson Funeral Directors. Survivors include one brother, Howard, 1401 24th St.; three sisters, Mrs. J. T. Mitchell, 1522 24th Place; Mrs. H. L. Diamond, 914 41st St.; Mrs. S. I. Fluke, 1312 24th Place; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will include: Don Boles, Bill Diamond, James Embry, W. C. Hobbs, E. C. McCartney and C. H. Cout Courtney. Was a barber and lived in Van Horne, Tx.
