Laura L. "Tootie" Lewis, 89, of Springfield, formerly of New Berlin, died Friday at St. John's Hospital. She was born No. 14, 1905, in Waverly, the daughter of Robert and Maggie Edwards Breeding. She married Loren "Duffy" Lewis; he died in 1976. Survivors: a daughter, Patricia Hoagland of Springfield; six granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services: 2:30 p.m. Monday,, Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Randall Perry officiating. Burial: Waverly East Cemetery.
