Bio

Pvt. Hugh Lawson Jackson, Civil War veteran, Confederate under Capt. O.C. English. Lone Star Guards, Light Infantry Co., Red River CIty, 8th Brigade. Enlisted July 1861. His daughter, Mathina Rebecca Jackson, was born 15 Jan 1863, four days after the Battle of Galveston of 11 January where Hugh fought.
