Richmond Times Dispatch Wed, Jun 01, 1864- Page 2: "Information Wanted- Of Sergeant Philip C. Howell, Co G, 12th N C troops who was wounded on the 12th of May, at Spotsylvania C H, and Sergeant Major Wm D Daniel, of the 2d N C battalion, who was wounded on the 10th of May and left at Ewell's corps hospital; and any other information respecting any of the wounded of Halifax co, N C, if left with Rev M B Sweeney, No 108 Main street, will be attended to."
