McCONNELL, CECIL WILLIAM: Beloved husband, father, family member, and friend passed from this life to be with our Lord on August 10, 2004. He was born Jan. 21, 1912 in Paris, Texas and is survived by his wife of 71 years, Ruby McConnell, his son and daughter in- law, Dr. Gerald McConnell, Connie McConnell, two grandsons, Mark W. McConnell and Ronald W. McConnell, a brother Dr. Ronald D. McConnell and a sister Mertie Smith. Cecil worked as a salesman for American Products Co. for 50 years and was a faithful member of the Baptist Church for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Maude Elizabeth and Elbert E. McConnell, a sister Frankie Reynolds, and a brother John W. McConnell.Cecil will be remembered for his animated life style, his sweet spirit, his care and concern for his immediate and extended family as well as his faithful trust in our Lord Jesus Christ. He will be missed by all that knew him. Arrangements for services are being arranged at Laurel Land Funeral Home and Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8: 00 PM Thursday Aug. 12 and 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Aug, 13. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, Aug. 13 at Laurel Land Chapel.
