Bio

Jerome Patrick Luttrell, 81, a truck driver, died Friday, May 25, 2001, at a Fort Worth hospital. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Jerome Patrick Luttrell was born Oct 22, 1919, in Roanoke to James Ferris Luttrell and Mary Ann Sheehey Luttrell; after moving in 1942, he was one of the first of eight young men in Tarrant County enlisting for active service during World War II on Oct 8, 1942, He received the Purple Heart medal after being injured in the Battle of Attu and the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Campaign Medal. Jerome Luttrell was loved and will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Bernard Luttrell. Survivors: Wife, Avis Luttrell; sons, Jerome P. Luttrell, Jimmy Luttrell; daughters, Mary Ann Smith, Patricia Kyle; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Mount Olivet Funeral Home, 2301 N.
