Patricia May Jewett, 80, of Grand Island, died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Pastors Ed and Lynn MacDonald will officiate. Cremation will take place following the service, with burial of ashes in the Grand Island Nebraska Veterans Home Cemetery at a later date. Mrs. Jewett was born Nov. 30, 1932, at Omaha to James and Elise (Allen) McKay. Survivors of the immediate family include a daughter, Sherry Jewett, and friend Jack Rysavy; a son, William Jewett; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ardith and Jack Wilburn of Omaha, Rita and David Cartright and Charla and Bob Taylor, all of Helena, Mont., and Linda Rawmaker of Omaha; and a brother, Charles Brown of Omaha. Those also left to cherish her memory include grandchildren, Bobby Jewett, Patty Pokorney, Jeremy Jewett, and David Jewett; 10 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Diana and Doug Johnson. She received her education in Omaha and was united in marriage to James Roberts on Dec. 30, 1950, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Jim passed away six months and three days later. Pat married William Galbraith II on May 19, 1952, in Denver, Colo. She worked at Craft Gill in Omaha and married Robert Ray Jewett on Oct. 30, 1954. They were married 55 years and nine months. They moved in 1968 to Grand Island, where she worked at Wheelers Warehouse for 13 years. Pat and Sherry had their own cleaning business, Pat and Sherry's Tidy House. They cleaned for 14 years. She enjoyed reading, talking about Jesus and praying with people. Pat is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert.
