Bio

James Joseph Rich and his wife, Rebecca Barker Rich, moved from North Carolina to Tennessee, and then to Arkansas in approximately 1836. James drowned while swimming in Cove Creek, south of Prairie Grove, Arkansas. He is supposedly buried in an unmarked grave in Scott Cemetery on Cove Creek Road.
