Marci Ranae Higham Kulik February 15, 1952 ~ March 13, 2013 Marci Ranae Higham Kulik - Beloved Grandmother, Mother, Sister, Wife, and Daughter of God passed away at the age of 61 on March 13, 2013 in her home in West Jordan, UT. She was born in Salt Lake City, UT to Richard Homer Higham and Audrey Fae Fox Higham on February 15th, 1952. She married Michael J. Kulik on January 23, 1994 in Las Vegas, NV. Marci had an exceptional life of accomplishments. She worked for John Price doing marketing and promotions for malls and later worked for Skaggs as a secretary in the corporate offices. She was involved civically as a member of the John Hiskey campaign committee and work at the Salt Lake County Youth Service Center as a drug counselor for troubled teens. She attended the University of Utah for a term taking psychology courses. Marci was a strong willed woman that loved her family very much and would do anything for them and was a leader in all that she did. She enjoyed a variety of work as an entrepreneur until she could no longer work due to disability. A smart and talented woman, she excelled in voice, piano and guitar. She wrote poetry and music as an accomplished folk singer and had her poetry published. She sang with Pro Musica and was a member of the Utah Oratorio Society participating in several performances of Handel's Messiah in the Tabernacle on Temple Square. She loved to teach piano to children and had too many students to count. She used her beautiful voice whenever she could to sing in church when asked. As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she held and fulfilled several callings. She was a primary teacher, primary chorister, and in the primary presidency. She was a young women's leader and in the young women's presidency. She taught gospel doctrine and was the ward choir director. She enjoyed genealogy and temple work and participated in indexing. Although disabilities limited her, she was still willing to participate as the relief society chorister in her ward. Marci was intelligent and enjoyed looking pretty. She loved having her nails, hair, and makeup done. She loved to have fun and her personal favorite was Disneyland. She had a love of books and would read often from her extensive library. She had an exceptional love for all animals and always had her dog Joshua at her side. She is survived by her husband Mike Kulik, her son Richard Wright (Elizabeth), and her daughter Wendy DeLaughter (John). Her grandchildren (respectively), Brian Wright (Michelle), Kyle Wright (Lauren), Jenna Wright, Mason Wright, Amy Wright, Camilla Wright, Cheylise Wright, Trenton DeLaughter, Nicolas DeLaughter, Jonathan DeLaughter , a great grandson Spencer Wright, her brother Kent Higham (Kristine) and her sister Jan Bell (Robert). Preceded in death by her father Richard Higham, her mother Fae Higham, her brother Gary Higham, and her sister Patricia Higham. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, March 18th 2013 at the Cobble Creek 1st Ward building located at 8176 south, 5140 west, West Jordan, UT 84081. Viewing held at the ward building starting at 10:00 am. Interment at the Midvale Cemetery.
