Bio
Dollie Mae Pair, 97, of Lubbock passed away, Sunday, May 13, 2007. She was born in Deport, TX on September 14, 1909. She moved with her parents on a farm west of Slaton in 1921. Dollie married Orval Pair in Wilson, TX on March 16, 1929. He preceded her in death in 1996. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Shallowater United Methodist Church. Dollie is also preceded in death by a son, Maurice in 1977. Survivors include two daughters, Gladys Benton and husband, Charles of Roswell, NM, and Mary Poteet and husband, Bobby of McKinney, TX; son, Donald Ray and wife, Kay of Shallowater; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Dollie's grandsons. The family will receive friends at Sanders Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at First United Methodist Church in Shallowater with the Rev. Everette Statler officiating. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery in Slaton. Arrangements are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
