Bio

Glenda Louise Christian Brumbelow went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at the age of 89. Glenda was the last living Christian of her generation and was one of 14 brothers and sisters. Glenda was born July 8, 1923, in Perks, Ill. She came with her father and her mother, along with several other family members to Willacy County in 1924. Glenda had five children and is survived by her oldest and only living child, Leslie Jenkins of Coldspring; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Services for Glenda are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service in the chapel. .
