Bio
Della B. Green, 95, of Zabcikville, died Friday, March 8, 2013, in a Temple living center. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Walter Matus officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, with Rosary being recited at 7 p.m., at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home. Della was born in Cyclone, Texas, to the late John Bartek and Emilie Doskocil Bartek. She attended Meeks School. Della married Jerome Green on Oct. 26, 1937. She and her husband owned and operated Green's Sausage House in Zabcikville for many years. She lived in the Cyclone and Zabcikville area all of her life and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Mary's Altar Society. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 28, 1984. Survivors include sons, Marvin Green, of Stringtown, and Charles Green, of Zabcikville; daughters, Josephine Psencik Wilhelm, of Temple, Henrietta Miller, of Temple, Florence Mikeska, of Rogers, and Corene Madeley, of Temple; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; brother, Johnnie Bartek, of Oenaville; sister, Georgia Stermer, of Cyclone; many other relatives and friends.
