Sarah & John had a baby boy named Archie that died from burns. I believe he was born between 1901 and 1904. Location of his grave is unknown. Possibly Erath County Texas. She lived with her oldest daughter, Lydia Smith and family from the mid 1920's until her death. She lost her eyesight to Glaucoma in the late 1940's. Shelling peas and snapping green beans were things she could do to help out. Even after losing her sight she hemmed various things. Her family members would thread several needles and place them along the outer edge of the arm of her overstuffed chair. Her stitches were very tiny and in perfect rows. She received talking books for the blind. This brought her great pleasure since she had always enjoyed reading. Her family members would read the Bible to her, she often requested certain chapters. She was a member of the church of Christ.
