Claude Webster Goodwin, 79, passed away Thursday, May 19, 1994 at his home in Beaver, Utah. He was born January 7, 1915, in Beaver, Utah, to Guy Issac and Hattie Williams Goodwin. He married Anna Lue Willden on October 1, 1948, in Ely, Nevada. He later divorced and married Thelma H. Twitchell on August 29, 196,4 in Ely, Nevada. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a volunteer fireman for over 30 years, and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Air Force. He owned and operated a Phillips 66 service station in Beaver for 25 years. He also worked for Beaver City and was a cattleman and rancher all of his life. Survivors: wife, Thelma H. Goodwin; sons: Raymond C. Goodwin, Calvin W. Goodwin, Russell A. Goodwin, all of Beaver, Utah; and William L. Twitchell of Sebastopol, California; daughter, Betty T. Jensen of Emery, Utah; 19 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; brother, Clark Goodwin of Milford, Utah; sisters: Larue Briggs of Beaver, Utah; Garneta Hollis of Milford, Utah; and Maude Iverson of Delta, Utah. Preceded in death by two brothers and one sister: Leroy Goodwin, Harold (Huck) Goodwin, and LaPrele Lewis. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the Southern Utah Mortuary Chapel in Beaver under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to services at the Southern Utah Mortuary in Beaver. Interment will be at the Mountain View Cemetery.
