Bio

Mrs. Helen Sheldon was born March 17, 1906, at Holyrood, Kansas. She died in a fire at her home in Salina on May 26, 1975. Mrs. Sheldon was the widow of Dr. Richard Sheldon, who died in 1952. She had lived in Salina since 1932. She was a graduate of Fort Hays State college and taught school in New Mexico and Kansas for several years before her marriage. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and University Women. Survivors included three sons, Dr. Richard Sheldon II, Dr. George F. Sheldon II, and Dr. William F. Sheldon; a sister, Mrs. Georgia Palmer; and seven grandchildren.
