YOAKUM - Howard Lively, age 83, passed away on Friday. March 1, 2013 with his family by his side. He was born on October 13, 1929 in Booneville, Arkansas to Herbert John and Louise McCool Lively. He worked for Brown & Root for 31 years and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In addition to his commitment to service, Howard was deeply devoted to his friends and family and will be dearly missed. Howard is survived by: daughter, Sheron David and husband George of Yoakum; son, Gary and wife Donna of Katy, 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Shirley McGee of Overton, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by: parents; wife, Betty Lively; brothers, Bill Lively and Ed Lively; sisters, Betty Golf and Emma Edwards. Private services will be held at a later date.
