JULIA EARLENE WHITMAN DAVENPORT1932 - 2007Julia Earlene Whitman Davenport, age 75, our beloved wife and mother went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 14, 2007 after a brief illness. She was born on January 30, 1932 in Bonifay, Florida. She and her family moved here in 1996 after retiring from the commissary at Eltoro MCAS in Calf. Julia and Hugh also lived in Havelock N.C. were he was stationed in the Marine Corps. Julia was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Ida Mae Antone.Julia is survived by a loving family and many friends. Her husband of 38 years Hugh R "Dave" Davenport, brother, Leonard (Sarah) Whitman; children, Karen (Bill) Nelson, Deborah Barlow and fiancée, John Ingram, Dalton (Kathy) Barlow; grandchildren, Luther Kirkland, Toni (Chip) Daniels, Robert (Rita) Kirkland, Nikki (Robert) Johnson, Christopher (Renee) Barlow Brain Thomas, Fiancée Jesse, Allison Barlow; 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and loving friends.Pallbearers are Luther Kirkland, Robert Kirkland, Christopher Barlow, Brian Thomas, Chip Daniels and Robert Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers are Christopher Whitman and John Ingram. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor William Flannigan officiating.OAK LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 619 New Warrington Road, is in charge of arrangements.The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
