Houston Chronicle, February 21, 2005: Funeral services for Mary Rose Ruffino, 74, of Stafford, Texas, will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, February 23, 2005, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg, Texas. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Father Damien Hinojosa will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 22, 2005, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, with a rosary being recited at 7:30 P.M. Mary was born July 31, 1930 in Caldwell, Texas to Louis Kahanek and Angela Varana Kahanek. She passed away February 19, 2005 in Webster, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam T. Ruffino; and her parents, Louis and Angela Kahanek. Mary is survived by daughter, Tina Marie Ruffino of Stafford; son, Daniel Ray Holloway of Fresno; grandchildren, Misty Lynn Ruffino of Stafford, Daniel Ray Holloway, Jr. of Alabama; great-granddaughter, Callisto Marie Ruffino; brother, Louis J. Kahanek of Houston; also numerous other relatives and many friends. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home, 3900 B.F.
