Bio

Wife of Frank Joseph Fryzek and mother of Bessie May Fryzek Burson, Frank Jerome Fryzek, Anna Fryzek, Joe Martin Fryzek, Vencel J. Fryzek, Jerry M. Fryzek Grey, and George Fryzek. Chapel Services for Bessie Fryzek Bessie Fryzek, the daughter of Wenzislaus and Josepha (Bartunek) Fier, was born July 28, 1892 in Cleveland, Ohio, and died April 10, 1979 at the Valley County Hospital in Ord at the age of 86. Following the death of her father in Cleveland Bessie moved with her Mom to Clarkson, Nebraska where she married Josef Capek. Bessie and the Capek family then moved to Valley County in 1908 where she attended school. Bessie was united in marriage to Frank Joseph Fryzek on August 25, 1910. They resided in Ord until 1918 when they moving to a farm west of Ord. In 1929 the family sold the farm and returned to Ord where Frank was employed as a painting contractor. Bessie was a member of ZCBJ Lodge #14 of Ord. Survivors include five sons, Frank of Greeley, CO, Jerry of Omaha, and Joe Vencel, and George, all of Ord; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, frank in 1961; and two daughters. Memorials may be given in her memory to the Ord Rescue Unit Fund. Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 12, 1979 at 2 p.m. at the Ord Memorial Chapel with Rev. Earl reed officiating. Mrs. Shirley Karre was the organist for Mrs. Sharon Fuss as she sang "Beyond the Sunset", and "Going Home." Pallbearers were George Zikmund, Alfred Burson, Frank Novak, Joe Ruzicka, Anton Kluna, and George Valasek. Burial was in the Ord Bohemian Cemetery.
