Former Gibbon resident, 62 OMAHA - William L. "Bill" Saalfeld, 62, of McCook died Friday, March 1, 2013, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook with the Rev. Lance Clay officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook with military honors by Chris Hansen American Legion Post 203 of McCook. He was born May 2, 1950, in Columbus to Dennis and Betty (Wilch) Saalfeld. In September 1973, he married Pamela Odgaard. On Sept. 29, 1984, he married Mindy McCann in St. Paul, Survivors include his wife; son, Ryan of Kearney; daughters, Julie Lee of Wellington, Colo., and Jaci of Kearney; brother, Leland of Ecuador, South America; and two grandchildren.
