Bio

Mary "Betty" Allen, 83, of Vincennes, (formerly of Lawrenceville, IL) passed February 28, 2013, after an extended illness, at Good Samaritan Hospital. Born July 14, 1929, in Lawrenceville, IL, she was the daughter of Bernard and Beulah (Cotton) Roland. They preceded her, as well as her husbands, Willis "Willie" Allen, who passed away Jan. 23, 2012, L. Bentley Fish, and Ronald Weeks; sisters, Ellen Goss and Judy Guthrie; brothers, Eugene Roland, Paul Roland, and Carl Roland. Betty was a lifelong homemaker. She loved her cats. Surviving is her son, John R. Fish; her daughter, Sue Ellen Kemp; grandchildren, Jason R. Fish, Christopher T. (Nicole) Fish, Ashley M., and Golden Kemp; great-grandchildren MeKayla Kemp and Gavin Fish; sister, Shirley Tanner; several great-grandchildren; as well as great nieces and nephews. A funeral service and visitation was held at Goodwin Funeral Home. Interment was in Lawrenceville City Cemetery in Lawrenceville, IL.
