Mary Lou Clowdus, 82, of Burkburnett, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at River Assembly of God with Rev. Billy Pate, officiating. Interment will follow at Bluegrove Cemetery in Bluegrove under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett. Mary Lou was born December 13, 1930, in Winters, Texas, to the late Frances (Hudgens) Tindle and Miles Tindle. Mary Lou married Charles Steve Clowdus in 1951. He preceded her in death in April of 2007. She attended River Assembly of God Church. She was an Ordained Minister, and enjoyed vintage shopping. She had a passion for writing, and was a poet. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Huebel and husband Mike of Grand Prairie, Wanda Dye and husband Mike of Burkburnett, Ann Hays and husband Tom of Wichita Falls, Laura Rose and husband Randy of Clayton, Oklahoma, Frances "Lorraine" Bolf and husband Johnny of Lake Arrowhead, Naomi Lynn Cutshell and husband Bret of St. Helens, Oklahoma, and Dorothy "Allyson" Street and husband Jeff of Burkburnett; her sons, Paul Clowdus and wife Lenora of Emmett, Idaho, Jeff Clowdus of Florida, Charles Clowdus of the Metroplex, and David Clowdus and wife Holly of Jacksonville, Florida; two brothers, David Tindle and wife Dorothy, and Tommy Tindle; a sister, Erma Shelton and husband Lee; twenty-five grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
