Bio

Calvin was the son of Elizabeth "Bettie" Jacobs and James Scudder Arnold, and born in Normandy. He married Docia Gowen, also of Bedford County Oct 10, 1908. They lived for a time in Tullahoma. In 1920 the couple and their 5 children liven in Long Island, Jackson county, AL, where he worked in Bridgeport and was a bridge tender for North Carolina and Louisville Railroad.
