Grand Island (Nebraska) Herald; Thursday, 30 July 1931, page 5 As a result of injuries received when the automobile in which she was riding turned over in the ditch about a mile south of Doniphan Sunday Morning, Mrs. C. O. Sellon, aged 63, of Sioux City, Iowa, died at Mary Lanning hospital in Hastings about noon Sunday. Mr. Sellon, who was driving, lost control of the car after it struck loose gravel. Mrs. Ora Sellon, aged 28, of Randolph, Iowa, was seriously injured at the same time, though she is thought to be recovering. A daughter of the dead woman, a son, and the husband escaped without serious injury. The elder Mrs. Sellon suffered a crushed chest, fifteen broken ribs, a broken arm, fractured shoulder blade, and many cuts and bruises. . .
