Thanks to contributor #47016781; St. Edward Advance March 10, 2005 ST. EDWARD - LeRoy John Shotkoski, 69, of St. Edward, died Monday, March 7, 2005, at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Edward Catholic Church, with the Rev. Jim Novotny officiating. Burial is at St. Edward Catholic Cemetery, with military by Crosier American Legion Post No. 226 of St. Edward. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. today at Miller-Levander Funeral Home in St. Edward. Mr. Shotkoski was born Nov. 27, 1935, in Genoa, to Benedict and Elizabeth Roselia (Krzycki) Shotkoski. He attended school at Boone County School District No. 5, Nance County School District No. 15 and St. Edward Public School. In 1956, he entered the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1959. He married Kathleen Claire Kramer June 6, 1970, in Newman Grove. They lived in St. Edward, where he was a truck driver and truck owner/operator. He retired in October of 1998. Survivors include his wife of St. Edward; two daughters, Laurie (Steve) Eisenmenger and Shannon Wells, both of Fremont; one stepson, Rod (Kristie) Hansen of Council Bluffs, Iowa; two sisters, Rita Curren of Albion and Phyllis Roberts of St. Edward; two brothers, Eugene Shotkoski and Nick Fonda, both of St. Edward; four grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and stepfather, Ray Fonda.
