Van Alstyne Leader June 23, 1966 - pg.1 Mrs. Oletta Janice Simpson died at her home June 11 and services were held at the First Baptist Church of Van Alstyne Rev. James Coffey, Rev. Grady Langford, and Rev. B.C. Robertson officiating. Burial was in the Van Alstyne Cemetery, directed by the Flesher Funeral Home. Mrs. Simpson was born January 24, 1911, in Anna, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Murphree. She was married to Grady Simpson, Dec. 12, 1931. She was a loyal member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Billy J. Williams, Sherman; three sisters: Misses Inez Murphree, Gladys Murphree, Bessie Murphree; two brothers: Houston and Austin Murphree of Van Alstyne; two grandchildren.
