Bettie J. Morgan, age 89, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013 in a local hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. Bettie was born on January 20, 1924 in Kennedy, Texas to Eugene E. and Hilda M Eckols. She retired as an operator from Southwestern Bell. Bettie was a long time member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, William G. Morgan; stepson, William J. Morgan; grandson, Lucas Morgan; two nephews, Patrick McCarty, Michael McCarty and a niece, Gail McCarty. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Seaside Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
