Martha Williams Norton was my 3x great-grandmother. She can be found on 1870 and 1880 United States Census in Grimes County, Texas. In 1870 she was living with her daughter Mary Elizabeth Norton and son-in-law, Philo Perry. In 1880 she is raising Mary's and Philo's only surviving child, Mary Grace Perry. In the 1890's she is living with her granddaughter and her granddaughter's husband Lawrence M. Samuels in Dallas. I believe she must have died before 1900, and could be buried in Grimes County, TX; Dallas County, TX; or Bexar County, TX. Her husband was William Douglass Norton 1810-unk. Martha and William, their daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren can all be found in the book: A Genealogy of Benjamin Cleveland, A Great-Grandson of Moses Cleveland, of Woburn, Mass, and a Native of Canterbury, Windham County, Conn., by Horace Gillette Cleveland, © Chicago: Printed for the Compiler. 1879.
