Bio
Katherine Ann Halmes, 77, of Hartman, Arkansas, died, November 6, 2012 in her home. She was a retired Teller and Clerk and attended Grenades Chapel Methodist Church. She was born in Eddy, Texas to Adolf and Ann Slovak Pechacek. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Raymond Pechacek. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Jackson Cemetery with Reverend Frank Grubbs officiating under the directions of Shaffer Funeral Home. She is survived by her husband, Howard Halmes of Hartman; three nephews, Larry Blackard and wife Carol, Joe Halmes and wife Linda and David Halmes and wife Paula; three nieces, Karen Nordin and Christy and Sarah Halmes; several great nieces and nephews. Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, November 7, 2012 with visitation to follow from 7:00-8:00 PM, at Shaffer Funeral Home 2315 W. Commercial in Ozark.
