James R. Laudon, age 64, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital. James was born, June 8, 1948, in North Bend, NE, to Walter and Loretta (Mares) Laudon and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs. He was united in marriage to Ruth Spies in 1978 and worked as a printer for Omaha Print Company. James was a member of New Beginnings Church of God of Prophecy, and was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Walter Loudon, Jr. and his wife Jean, John Laudon; sister-in-law, Kathy Laudon. Survivors include wife, Ruth; brothers, Robert "Tom" Laudon and wife Loleta, Jeff Laudon, all of Council Bluffs; sister, Mary Niebur and husband Bill, Norman, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Carol Laudon, Eugene, OR; and brother-in-law, Dan Spies and wife Marcia, Earlville, IL; many nieces and nephews; friend; John Snyder, III, Council Bluffs.
