Death Relieves Sarah E. Gardner From Long Illness Mrs. Sarah Ellen Cox Gardner, 67, died in a Provo hospital Tuesday March 3, at 10:30 p, mi. after an illness of 10 years following a stroke. She had resided in American Fork 11 years during the latter part of her life. Funeral services were conducted Friday in the Anderson and Sons Mortuary at 11 a. m. under the direction of Bishop Boyd Fugal of the Manila Ward. Speakers were J. D. Roundy and Bishop Fugal. Music included a solo "O My Father" by Mrs. Ray Brown, and a duet "In the Garden" by Mrs. Alex Wadley and Mrs. Carl W. Noell. Mrs. Hal Haycock was accompanist. The invocation was offered by John W. Roundy and O. C. Day pronounced the bendiction. Bur-lal took place in the Fairvlew cemetery. Pallbearers were Fred and John W. Roundy, Ernest and George Jacklin, George and Frederick Gardner. She was born May 17, 1885, in Fairview, a daughter of Almer B. and Sarah Ellen Jones Cox. March 9, 1902, sbe married Charles Frederick Gardner in Mexico. He died In 1926. She was a member of the LDS church and served as a Relief Society visiting teacher for 28 years. 'Surviving are six children, Mrs. Ernest (Erma Lee) Jacklin, Miss Ellen Gardner, American Fork; Mrs. Al (Ruth) Palmer, Mrs. Fred (Ruby) Roundy, Tif-fany,-Colo.; Frederick W. Gard-ner, Pleasant Grove: Almer Gardner, Martinez, Cal.; 30 grandchildren, ° greatgrandchil-dren, two brothers, Victor J. Cox, Salt Lake City; Rulon Cox, Soda
